Qualifier: Shot 73-72--145 at Rancho Santa Fe (Calif.) Golf Club on May 11
Just 13 days before turning 20, Zeng qualified for her first U.S. Women's Open, and first major championship. Zeng shot 1-over-par 145 at Rancho Santa Fe (Calif.) Golf Club on May 11 to share medalist honors with two other golfers, then survived a 3-for-2 playoff. Zeng first garnered attention in 2020 when she claimed the Nanshan Chinese Amateur Golf Championship and the Buick National Junior Classic. She then decided to turn professional at age 16, and immediately won a pair of titles on the China LPGA Tour in 2022. She has since claimed two more titles. She petitioned then-LPGA Tour Commissioner Mollie Marcoux in 2023 for a waiver to be able to compete in the LPGA Tour's Q-Series despite not meeting the age requirement. At 17 in 2024, Zeng became the youngest player from China to have LPGA Tour status. As a rookie in 2024, she participated in 18 tournaments with a pair of top-20 finishes, but lost her tour card. In 2025, she returned to the China LPGA Tour as well as the Epson Tour. She tied for third in the CLPGA's Mitsubish Electric Automation Women's Open.
