Qualifier: Shot 68-69-137 at Walnut Creek Golf Preserve, in Westminster, Colo., on May 12
Pagdanganan will make her third U.S. Women's Open start and first since finishing 68th in 2022 at Pine Needles. She garnered the lone available spot at the Walnut Creek Golf Preserve, in Westminster, Colo., carding 7-under-par 137. The native of the Philippines played two seasons at Gonzaga University before transferring to the University of Arizona and helping the Wildcats to an NCAA title in 2018. Dubbed the "Unicorn" by her teammates because she had so much all-around ability, especially with her distance off the tee, Pagdanganan turned professional in 2020. She has yet to win on either the Epson Tour or LPGA Tour, but she did share ninth in the 2009 KPMG Women's PGA Championship. As an amateur she helped the Philippines take home a gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games with future two-time U.S. Women's Open champion Yuka Saso and Lois Kaye Go. She won a gold medal in the individual competition. In 2024, she represented her country in the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
