Hayakawa will make her second U.S. Women's Open start after getting into the field as the second alternate from the Boso Country Club qualifier on April 20. When countrywoman Sayaka Takahashi became fully exempt on May 25 through the second top 75 cutoff of the Rolex Rankings, Hayakawa got the nod as the first alternate had already been added to the field through the allotment. Hayakawa won a 3-for-1 playoff for that spot. She missed the cut four years ago at Pine Needles in her only other U.S. Women's Open start. She does not have a professional victory since joining the play-for-pay ranks in 2022. She competes on the Women''s Professional Golf Association of Australasia and Ladies European Tour.
