The former University of Kentucky standout earned her second U.S. Women's Open start as the second alternate from the Essex County Country Club qualifier. Frye was in a 4-for-1 playoff for the final spot, but got into the field through the allotment process.Frye is currently a rookie on the LPGA Tour after making 16 of 19 cuts on the Epson Tour in 2025, including six top-10s. Her best finish was a share of second in the Great Lakes Championship at the Highlands in Michigan. Her 15th place finish on the Epson Tour money list earned Frye her LPGA Tour card for 2026. She also tied for seventh in the LPGA Tour Q-Series to improve her position on the pecking order. She qualified for a trio of U.S. Women's Amateurs and competed in two Augusta National Women's Amateurs. She was a four-time Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar.
