Qualifier: Shot 71-66 at Marin Country Club in Novata, Calif., on May 22

The 18-year-old amateur qualified for her first U.S. Women's Open after shooting 7-under-par 137 at Marin Country Club in Novata, Calif. In 2022, Huang captured the Asia-Pacific Women's Amateur, earning her a spot in the Augusta National Women's Amateur, where she tied for 22nd. Also in 2022, Huang advanced to the Round of 16 at the U.S. Girls' Junior at The Club at Olde Stone, losing to eventual champion Yana Wilson, 4 and 3. Huang has committed to play for UCLA this fall. Her idol growing up was major champion and 2004 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links champion Yani Tseng, who hails from her hometown of Taoyuan City. Huang also captured the North & South Girls' Junior at Pinehurst and represented Chinese Taipei in the 2022 Women's World Amateur Team Championship in France.
