Bio

The Swede registered her third major championship in the 2021 AIG Women's British Open by one stroke over Georgia Hall, Madelene Sagstrom and Lizette Salas. It gave Nordqvist 12 worldwide victories. Previously, Nordqvist had won the 2017 Amundi Evian Championship and the 2009 McDonald's LPGA Championship (now KPMG Women's PGA). In the 2016 U.S. Women's Open, she lost a three-hole aggregate playoff to Brittany Lang at CordeValle. Prior to turning pro, Nordqvist played in two Women’s World Amateur Team Championships, leading Sweden to victory in 2008. At Arizona State, she was an All-American in 2007 and 2008. She also has been a stalwart for the European Solheim Cup Team, playing in eight competitions (2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023).
