S-1: Winner of 2020 U.S. Women's Open
S-17: Top 75 points leaders in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings as of April 3
Kim broke through in her first major-championship start in December 2020 to win the rescheduled 75th U.S. Women Open at Champions Golf Club in Houston. It was also her first-ever appearance in the United States. Previously, she had captured two titles on the LPGA of Korea Tour (now owns 3). Kim finished with a flourish at Champions, registering three consecutive birdies to close the final round with a 67 to edge Amy Olson and then-world No. 1 Jin Young Ko by one stroke. Kim's maiden victory came in the 2018 Se Ri Pak Invitational, and she added the My Munyoung Queens Park Championship in 2019. Her third title came in the 2022 Creas F&C KLPGA Championship. Kim's Women's Open victory allowed the affable Korean to take up membership on the LPGA Tour.
