The University of Texas junior qualified for her third U.S. Women's Open after earning medalist honors at Rainier Golf & Country Club, in Seattle, Wash., on April 28. Kim posted a 36-hole total of 6-under-par 138. She missed the cut in her two previous U.S. Women's Open starts. The Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, native was the runner-up in the 2026 Charles Schwab Collegiate. She also had three other top-10 finishes in the 2025-26 season for the Longhorns. She made the cut in the 2026 Augusta National Women's Amateur in April. She competed in the 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur at Bandon Dunes after advancing to the Round of 16 a year earlier at Southern Hills Country Club. In the 2024-2025 collegiate season, she won the Betsy Rawls and tied for fifth in the Southeastern Conference Championship. She represented the International Team in the 2025 Palmer Cup.. Prior to enrolling at Texas, she won three American Junior Golf Association tournaments in 2022. She tied for third in the Canadian Women's Amateur in 2022.
