Iwai is making her second start in the U.S. Women's Open, thanks to being among the top 75 points leaders in the Rolex Rankings as of the close of entries on April 3. She owns four victories on the LPGA Tour of Japan. Iwai's twin sister, Akie, also is a golf professional who is exempt into the 2024 championship via the Rolex Rankings.
