Qualifier: Shot 72-69 at The Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield, Colo., on June 1
The Stanford University rising senior will compete in her first U.S. Women's Open after surviving a 2-for-1 playoff for the final spot at the Broomfield, Colo., qualifier. The Austin, Texas, resident birdied her final two holes to get into the playoff at 3-under-par 141, then edged Mississippi State senior Abbey Daniel in the playoff. Englemann helped Stanford win the 2022 NCAA Division I title at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., and to a semifinal appearance in May at the same venue. Englemann shared medalist honors in the 2016 U.S. Girls' Junior at The Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, N.J. This past season at Stanford, she was an All-Pacific-12 Conference selection, posting a 71.33 scoring average. Her low round was a 64 in the opening 18 of the Pullman. Wash., Regional in May. During her junior golf days, she was the runner-up in the 2019 American Junior Golf Association's Rolex Tournament of Champions, finished second in the 2020 Annika Invitational and was a two-time runner-up in the Thunderbird Invitational (2018-19). She also represented the USA in the 2019 Junior Solheim Cup.
