Qualifier: Shot 69-72 at Peninsula Golf & Country Club in San Mateo, Calif., on June 5

Xu, who just completed her freshman season at Stanford University, qualified for her first U.S. Women's Open by shooting 1-under 141 at Peninsula Golf & Country Club. Xu has the distinction of being the first female champion at Augusta National Golf Club when she claimed the Girls 7-9 Division of the inaugural Drive, Chip & Putt Championship in 2014. In 2022, she won the Ladies National Golf Association Amateur. She also was named the Southern California Golf Association's Player of the Year for 2021, the same year she claimed the SCGA Women's Amateur. She also advanced to the Round of 16 of the 2019 U.S. Girls' Junior at SentryWorld, where future Stanford teammate Lei Ye took the title. Xu is from Claremont, Calif.
