Qualifier: Shot 138 at Boso Country Club in Japan on May 29

The 17-year-old amateur will make her first U.S. Women's Open start after being added to the field on July 3 when Akie Iwai, a qualifier from her site, became fully exempt under the second Top 75 Rolex Rankings cutoff on July 3. Komiya originally had been the odd woman out of a 3-for-2 playoff for the final spots. She comes into the championship at No. 199 in the Women's World Amateur Golf Ranking. Komiya won this year's Chubu Amateur in Japan, and finished 14th in the Japan Women's Amateur.
