S-14: Winner of 2025 Mark H. McCormack Medal

The Northern Californian and University of Oregon All-American will make her third consecutive U.S. Women's Open start after winning the 2025 McCormack Medal as the leading player in the Women's World Amateur Golf Ranking at the conclusion of the 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur. In the 2025 U.S. Women's Open at Erin Hills, Romero closed with a 5-under 67 to earn a share of 45th.  Romero had a sensational sophomore season at the University of Oregon, winning the Big 10 Conference title in the school's first season in the league. Oregon also won the team title. A few weeks later in Gold Canyon, Ariz., Romero, a member of the USGA's Elite Amateur Program as part of the U.S. National Development Program, carded a school-record, 10-under-par 62 during NCAA regionals to help the Ducks win the 12-team event and qualify for the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif. Romero registered a stroke average of 69.79 that also included an individual win at regionals as well as four second-place finishes. Prior to enrolling at Oregon, Romero won the 2023 U.S. Girls' Junior wth a 1-up win over Rianne Malixi at the United States Air Force Academy Eisenhower Golf Course. She also advanced to match play in the 2023 U.S. Women's Amateur at Bel-Air Country Club. Romero was a three-time American Junior Golf Association All-American. She also represented the United States in the 2023 Junior Solheim Cup in Spain. Her older sister, Kaleiya, played golf at Pepperdine University. Romero represented the U.S. team in the 2025 Palmer Cup.
