The Florida State sophomore earned her first U.S. Women's Open start in dramatic style by converting birdie putts on Nos. 17 and 18 to post a one-stroke victory over Bailey Shoemaker in the 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur. Woad, the 2022 R&A Girls' Junior champion, posted a final-round 69 for an 8-under-par total of 208. Woad represented England in the 2022 and 2023 Women's World Amateur Team Championships in France and the United Arab Emirates, respectively, and was also on the International side for the 2023 Palmer Cup. Besides the Girls' Junior victory, Woad also claimed the 2021 Welsh Women's Open Stroke Play. Woad was the Atlantic Coast Conference's Freshman of the Year for the 2022-23 season, and a 2023 Women's Golf Coaches Association first-team All-American. She has posted three victories as a Seminole, including the 2023 Annika Intercollegiate in Minnesota where she shared the title with three other players, among them 2023 U.S. Girls' Junior champion Kiara Romero of Oregon.
