Kawamoto will make her fourth U.S. Women's Open start after being among the top 75 points leaders in the Rolex Rankings as of March 23. Kawamoto owns eight professional victories. She finished 60th in the all-exempt U.S. Women's Open in 2020 at Champions Golf Club in Houston and then tied for 39th in the 2024 championship at Lancaster C.C.  In the fall of 2019, she finished tied for ninth in the LPGA Tour's Q-Series to earn playing privileges for the 2020 season. She made 7 of 13 cuts during the COVID-shortened season to place 73rd on the money list. She played in only four LPGA Tour events the following season and now competes primarily on the LPGA Tour of Japan. Her brother, Riki, qualified for the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst.
