Qualifier: Shot 69-71--140 at The Club at Admiral's Cove in Jupiter, Fla., on May 10
Michaels returns to the U.S. Women's Open for a seventh time, and the first in eight years, after being the medalist in the Jupiter, Fla., qualifier at The Club at Admiral's Cove. The UCLA graduate posted a 36-hole total of 2-under-par 140. Michaels turned professional in 2010 and made an immediate impact on the Futures Tour (now Symetra Tour) with a pair of victories in 2011 and took home Rookie of the Year honors. She spent the next 10 years on the LPGA Tour with her best finish a tie for fourth in the 2015 Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic. She also tied for fifth in the 2021 ISPS Handa World Invitational. In 2021, Michaels created her own women's athletic apparel company specifically for tennis and golf, ISLA Sport, after her daughter's first name. Michaels grew up in Southern California but has since moved to Delray Beach, Fla. Prior to UCLA, she represented the U.S. in a pair of Junior Solheim Cups (2005, 2007) and competed in multiple USGA amateur competitions.
