The Australian was the last player to gain entrance into the 156-player, getting in via the first-,alternate spot from the Seattle qualifier when exempt player Celine Boutier won the ShopRite Classic on May 31. This will be Davidson's first U.S. Women's Open start. Although she was born in Scotland, the family relocated to Australia's Gold Coast, in Queensland, when she was 9. She was highly successful as an Amateur, winning the Sunshine Coast Ladies Open and GNGF Junior Masters in 2014. That same year, she was the runner-up to future U.S. Women's Open champion Minjee Lee in the Australian Women's Amateur. The following year, she won the New South Wales Junior State Championship and was the runner-up in the Australian Girls' Amateur. She represented Australia in the 2014 World Junior Girls Championship in Canada, and the 2016 Women's World Amateur Team Championship in Mexico. In 2017, she was a semifinalist in the Australian Women's Amateur. She turned pro in 2017 and owns one professional title to date, the 2022 WPGA Melbourne Invitational. She also has competed on the LPGA Tour of Japan. She joined the LPGA Tour in 2022 after competing in the Q-Series.
