The 29-year-old who is a native of Slovenia, qualified for her second U.S. Women's Open by shooting 8-under-par 142 at Wilderness Country Club, in Naples, Fla., to earn medalist honors. Belac, who played collegiately at Duke University, missed the cut in 2022 at Pine Needles. Belac owns one professional win, the 2020 Carolina Golf Classic on the Epson Tour. Since turning professional in 2020, she has bounced between the Epson Tour and LPGA Tour. As an amateur, Belac represented Slovenia in the Women's World Amateur Team Championship in 2012 and 2014. She won a bronze medal wth Pia Babnik and Vida Obersnel in the 2018 Mediterranean Games. She was a member of the International Team in the 2019 Palmer Cup and helped Duke win that year's NCAA title, posting a 3-0 record in match play. She also was named a first-team All-American in 2020.
