S-13: Winner of 2025 Women's Amateur Championship conducted by The R&A
The Stanford University junior will tee it up in the U.S. Women's Open for a second consecutive year after capturing the 2025 Women's Amateur Championship conducted by The R&A. She defeated American Farah O'Keefe, 2 and 1, in the 36-hole final at Muirfield Golf Club in Scotland. In 2024, she was named the Pacific-12 Conference Player of the Year and helped the Cardinal claim the conference and NCAA team titles. Martin Sampedro finished third individually in the 2024 NCAAs. She also was named the WGCA Freshman of the Year and was a consensus first-team All-American. As a sophomore, she has posted a pair of victories and a stroke average of 70.24 going into postseason play. She advanced to match play in the 2024 U.S. Women's Amateur, and the Round of 16 in the Women's Amateur Championship conducted by The R&A. She also represented the International Team in the 2024 Palmer Cup. Martin Sampedro also made the 36-hole cut in each of the last two Augusta National Women's Amateurs She represented Spain in the 2025 Women's World Amateur Team Championship in Singapore.
