The Montgomery, Texas, native will compete in her third U.S. Women's Open after a breakthrough performance at Erin Hills in 2025. Cooper, who played at both the University of Texas and Texas A&M, tied for seventh as a qualifier, earning a whopping $358,004, the biggest payday in her fledgling professional career. In 2024, Cooper won a Women's All-Pro Tour (WAPT) event in Lake Charles, La. She has also played sparingly on the Epson Tour since graduating from Texas A&M in 2023. In 2016, Cooper and partner Kaitlyn Papp won the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball title at Streamsong Resort in Florida. She played three seasons at the University of Texas before transferring to Texas A&M for her final two years (one graduate year due to COVID-19). At Texas, she was the 2019 Big 12 Freshman of the Year, along with being named first-team All-American by the Women's Golf Coaches of America, and second team by Golfweek. She also represented the United States in the 2019 Palmer Cup. In the 2018 U.S. Women's Open at Shoal Creek, she finished T-55 as an amateur.
