Qualifier: Shot 69-66--135 at Soule Park Golf Course, in Ojai, Calif., on May 7

The Los Angeles, Calif., native will make her U.S. Women's Open debut after posting 9-under-par 135 to earn medalist honors at a qualifier contested at Soule Park G.C., in Ojai, Calif. Kong just completed her freshman season at the University of California-Irvine, where she registered a team-best 73.15 scoring average, posting just one sub-70 round (Hawaii tournament). She finished tied for 11th at the Big West Championship. Kong graduated from Notre Dame High School in the San Fernando Valley.  She did qualify for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) state finals as a freshman in 2021.
