The former Mississippi State All-American will make her U.S. Women's Open debut after earning medalist honors at the Naples, Fla., qualifier. As an amateur, Lopez Ramirez helped Spain to a third-place finish in the 2023 Women's World Amateur Team Championship in the United Arab Emirates with teammates Carla Bernat Escuder and Cayetana Fernandez. At Mississippi State, Lopez Martinez claimed eight titles, including consecutive Southeastern Conference titles in 2023 and 2024, and was named the conference's Golfer of the Year in 2023 and 2024. Also in 2023, Lopez Ramirez won the European Ladies Amateur, edging out Escuder. The victory earned her a start in the AIG Women's British Open. In July 2024, she reached No. 1 in the Women's World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lopez Martinez left MSU a year early to turn pro in 2024 and gained her LPGA Tour card by finishing T-10 in the Q-School finals. She represented in the International Team in three Palmer Cups.
